Welcome to the Shimek Speedway, Southeast Iowa's premiere go-kart race track!

Shimek Speedway is a 1/7 mile, high banked dirt oval featuring go-kart races every Saturday night.

Location: Shimek Speedway is located 3 miles east of Famington, Iowa on the south side of Highway 2. Coming from the east, the track is 7 miles west of Donnellson, Iowa on Highway 2.

Please watch for the Shimek Speedway sign at the private road that goes to the track.

Times: The gates at Shimek Speedway open at 4 pm with Hot Laps beginning at 6pm. The races begin at 7pm. The Money Race on May 29th will have the Hot Laps at 5pm and the races at 6pm.

The first race will be April 24th.

The Money Races will held on May 29th, July 3rd and September 4th. More details on the Money Races will be posted later. The Points Race runs from May 8th through September 18th.

This year's races will have Open Tire Rule and I.K.F. Rules.
