Classes

Below are our current kart classes. However, other karting classes are always welcome. If you have three or more people who want to come race a class, feel free to call us and we will fit it into our program... such as clone classes, animal motors - juniors, 2 cycle classes and so on.

We strive to make everyone feel welcome here at Shimek and we love karting!

If you have any questions about the track, please feel free to contact us. We do require an original birth certificate to be on file for new racing kids (we make a copy and give it back right away) but we need to see the original here. If you brought one last year, you don't have to bring one again this year.

-Animal Class-

Junior 1 Animal needs a .251 Black Plate Restrictor to run with Junior 1 Lite Class if there are not 3 karts to make a class, no points for this year. Weight or restrictions subject to change to keep even with 4 cycles. They are not eligible for Money Shows since we don't have a lot of animal motors in juniors and we don't have the averages worked out.

-Rookie Classes-

Rookie One (5-8 yrs old) - This class is for the young kids who have not ran before. Everyone gets a trophy. No points, all winners. This is to get them used to the track, kart, flags, lights, rules and so on. This starts at flag stand not a rolling start. Can race in all season. For the younger kids. This class has 8 laps heats and feature.

Rookie Beginner (7-10 yrs old) - This is for kids that are just starting racing that will be in either advanced or junior class after 3 wins in this class. This starts at flag stand not a rolling start. This class has 8 lap heats and 10 lap feature.

Rookie Advanced (7-8 yrs old) - This is for kids getting ready to move up to Junior 1 that have raced a few years but not old enough to go to junior 1, and for the kids that have won 3 beginner classes but not old enough to go to junior 1. This is a rolling start and everyone a winner. All get trophies, no points. Regular Heat and Feature laps.
