Shimek Speedway is located 3 miles east of Farmington, Iowa on Highway 2 or 7 miles west of Donnellson, Iowa. For video of how the driveway looks coming from Donnellson and for a driving map, click on the Directions tab.

We start on time and like to have features started before 10 pm. We know racers have long drives and kids don't like to be up too late. We invite everyone to come and experience our family atmosphere and 1/7th mile clay oval track.

We have at least 3 money races a year and a banquet at the end of the season. Track Points Champions get a jacket & a big trophy! Racers with 1,000 points or more get a trophy in every class. Rookies who have raced at least half the season all get trophies. We also give out a feature win photo in every class free each week. Plus, we take our own track pictures for sale available through Bambi. We also have T-shirts for sale, DVDs of picture slide show, along with Money Race videos.

We post the results and photos on our web page and we send the results to the Democrat, the Leader Record, the Hawkeye, and the Daily Gate. The decision to post them in the paper is made by the paper. Also if there is a paper you want results sent to, let us know their e-mail address and we can send the results to their sports page.

We also post results on Bob's 4-Cycle. We try to do as much as we can for the racers and hope everyone enjoys racing here each weekend. We have racing fuel available for purchase at the track. A concession stand is at the track with new people running it this year!

We enjoy meeting all the new racers and their families each year and strive to make everyone feel welcome. We don't want any fighting. We are willing to hear any ideas or suggestions as long as it is in a conversational way. If you have any problems at the track, please find Ben or Bambi to have them resolved. If it's during a race, please wait until they are available or call/email us.
